OFFENSE

The Warriors advanced to the second round of the playoffs last season before being eliminated. This season, they will look to build off last season’s success and make a deeper run in the postseason. Head coach Brad Bradbury is in his fifth season at the helm of the program, and he says that he likes the makeup of his team as they head into this new season. “We have an experienced team, especially up front,” the coach said. “We return all starters on the offensive line and at the wide receiver and tight end positions. Our strengths are speed and physicality. We return eight starters on defense as well.” A duo of receivers will look to be key players for this year’s squad. Derek Bailey (5-9, 160, Sr.) and Cole Moody (6-1, 160, Jr.) are two outstanding athletes that will work to get the ball in their hands. Ryan Wilson (6-0, 160, Jr.) will see time at both running back and wide receiver. His skill at both positions will give his coaches the ability to make the best use of his talent. The team’s offensive line will work hard to keep the defense out of the backfield and allow the team to move the ball. Right tackle De’Prince Allen (6-3, 260, Sr.), center Carson Klucevsek (6-1, 225, Sr.), and left tackle Davien Tedford (6-3, 230, Sr.) are strong and physical linemen that know what it takes to be successful.

DEFENSE

Coming off a season that saw the Warrior defense give up an average of 33 points per game, coaches will be looking for guys to step up and be playmakers this season. Wreaking havoc on the opponents will be the guy’s up front. Defensive tackles Riley Berka (5-10, 260, Sr.) and Zeb Heaton (6-1, 235, Sr.), along with defensive end Brody Longhorn (6-2, 210, Jr.) will be a force to deal with on the defensive line. Behind them will be Luke Wilson (6-1, 190, Sr.) and Cooper McCord (5-10, 200, Jr.). These two linebackers will keep an eye on the ball and will swarm to make stops. Cooper Sparks (6-1, 160, Sr.) will patrol the secondary and will look to shut down the big plays from the opponents. The assistant coaches for the Warriors are Brock Thomas-, Earnie Ragland, Josh Forrest, Eric McSlarrow, and Barrett Bradbury.
