VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?
BR: I’m a sophomore and I play outside linebacker.
VYPE: What do you do in pre-game to get mentally prepared for the game?
BR: Before a game I usually go over what the other team likes to do to try to get that pre snap advantage but I’m usually listening to music from 3 hours before the game to when we walk out of the locker room.
VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Bartlesville HS?
Boden Roberts: I love the atmosphere and feeling like I’m surrounded by people that care about me.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
BR: There’s just a very brotherly bond between all of us in the locker room.
VYPE: Tell us about your favorite memory from a game.
BR: My favorite memory from a game is this past season from the Ponca City game where we had been going through a rough season and we got our first win, and I can just remember finally feeling a little sense of hope and accomplishment.
VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?
BR: A teammate that continues to impress me is Sam Hoback. Every time he steps on that field or into the weight room he goes all out, but he’s also a football smart upperclassman that encourages and helps anyone he can.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
BR: My favorite school subject is probably math because I’ve always been good at it. My favorite teacher is Coach Munoz.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
BR: I’d love to go to college to play football and hopefully make it to play with the pros.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
BR: I usually am either watching or playing football or video games, but I love being around my friends.
VYPE: Who is your favorite player (college or pro)? Why?
BR: My favorite player is Ivan Pace Jr. for the Minnesota Vikings. He’s only been in the league two years, but I love the fight he shows and his ability to fly around the field.
