Q&A with Oklahoma Union’s Bodee West – Baseball Spotlight – Presented by Keller Williams

Q&A with Oklahoma Union’s Bodee West

VYPE: How long have you played baseball and what is your position?

Bodee West: I’ve played baseball for about 13 years, and I play middle infield and pitcher.

VYPE: What got you interested in the sport?

BW: Just started playing when I was young and had so much success and fun with my friends.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time playing for Oklahoma Union?

BW: Winning districts and making it to regionals.

VYPE: Do you have a particular opponent you look forward to playing?

BW: Dewey, because it’s always a pretty competitive game and I’ve hit two home runs off them.

VYPE: Let’s talk about your teammates. Which player on your team would you not want to go up against? Who is the fastest? Who keeps everyone laughing?

BW: If there was anyone I wouldn’t go up against my first pick would probably be Tanner Dickson as he is the ace pitcher on our team. I’m the fastest, although Connor Pierce challenges me for that. I would say Jay Depler is the loudest in the dugout as he always keeps the team loud and hyped up. I would say Nathan Dean is probably the funniest as he’s always got a joke to say.

VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?

BW: Post-game meal would be some Cane’s chicken.

VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?

BW: The best role models have been all the coaches that I have played under.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?

BW: My favorite subject was government as Coach Hall always had something funny to say and go on about.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

BW: Go to college and play college baseball.
