2024-25 Record: 13-13

OUTLOOK

It’s an exciting time to be a Bulldogger. Head coach Lance Knight returns everyone from a team that won 13 games last season and is now a more seasoned team looking to build on the success of last season.

“We are very excited about the 2025-26 season. We have everybody back from our 13-win team from last season. These kids have worked hard over the summer and off-season and are hungry to make a run deep into the playoffs. It’s going to be a fun season,” coach Knight said.

Kooper Crawford (6-4, Sr.) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee who averaged 8.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Crawford is a three-year starter and a leader on the court. As a power forward, Crawford can use his size to get inside and battle at the rim. After battling through an injury last season, Crawford is healthy and looking forward to a great senior season.

Another senior to watch is Karson Johnson (6-0, Sr.) at shooting guard. Johnson averaged 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Johnson, alongside Austin Eastman (6-0, Jr.), is one of two shooting guards with an excellent outside jumper. Together, Johnson and Eastman account for more than 20-points per game with Eastman averaging 12 points, 2.1 steals and 3.0 assists per contest. Eastman’s defense is key to the transition game for Dewey.

Zach Renfroe (6-0, Jr.) will run the point giving the Bulldoggers someone who can average 10 points, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals every night. Renfroe is a quick player with excellent court vision. Also look for Tra Hicks (6-4, Sr.) at forward playing opposite of Crawford. As a junior, Hicks averaged 7.2 points and 7.0 rebounds. His production is crucial to the teams overall success.

Jay Murguia (So.) was the sixth man last season and had a lot of big games. Coach Knight is expecting big things from the sophomore who is one of the more athletic players on the team. Other players to watch include Tyler Roach and Jared Purkey.
