NOWATA IRONMEN
Coach: CHANCE JUBY
3-7
OFFENSE
In his third year as the head coach of the Ironmen football program, Chance Juby is looking forward to getting his team on the field and allowing them to compete. The coaching staff also consists of Joseph Phelan, Tim Farris, and Michael Swalley. Four starters are back on offense including several players who will go both ways. Asiah Saxton (6-2, 195, Jr.) is a versatile player who can hurt you at wide receiver or running back. Saxton is a three-year starter and a player coach Juby believes is one of the best in the class. Saxton is a VYPE Top 100 selectee this season. Quarterback Adrian Odell (5-7, 175, Jr.) will look to get Saxton the ball but Odell can also hurt you with his legs. Odell will look to Davion Downing (5-8, 170, Jr.) at running back, who can help this offense move the chains and gain those tough yards. Maliki Ornder (5-8, 260, Sr.) will anchor the offensive line giving the team an advantage at the point of attack. “We are spread with multiple formations. We have a lot of good athletes we try to get the ball to in various ways,” said coach Juby.

DEFENSE
With five starters coming back, the 4-2-5 defense does have a few holes to fill, but overall, the defense is shaping up nicely. Saxton will start at linebacker/defensive end giving the Ironmen someone who can cause havoc in the backfield. Brett Malone (6-0, 200, Sr.) joins Saxton at linebacker giving the defense another hard-hitting, physical player who can stop the run and take on any running back in the class. Ornder will start on the defensive line with Downing starting in the secondary. “We use multiple stunts and formations to try and create chaos up front and still be gap sound,” said coach Juby. Also look for Caleb Woolman who has an opportunity to help this team at CB or WR.
