9 Questions with Bartlesville’s Cross Country Runner Russell Miller – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been in Cross Country?
Russell Miller: I’m a senior in high school and I have been in cross country since 6th grade.


VYPE: What is your best time and where did you run it?
RM: My best 5K time is 16:13 and I ran it at RSU distance after dark.


VYPE: What are your favorite meals before and after a race?
RM: Pre-race I like bananas or muffins and post-race chocolate milk.


VYPE: What are you thinking about during a long run in a competition?
RM: Mostly trying to maintain contact with the top group and paying attention to my
breathing.


VYPE: Do you hear the crowd during your race?
RM: I always hear when my teammates or friends are cheering.


VYPE: Where do you like to run if it’s for fun or practice?
RM: I love to run on the Pathfinder Parkway through Bartlesville.


VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
RM: My favorite subject in school is math and my favorite teacher is Ms. Anderson.


VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
RM: After I graduate, I plan on serving a two-year mission then attending college.


VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?
RM: My parents have been a big influence in my life because they have supported all the
activities I have done.
