Caney Valley’s Wyatt Hollenbeck

VYPE: How long have you played golf, and what first got you interested in the sport?

Wyatt Hollenbeck: I’ve played for three years now. My dad would play a lot when I was younger.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time competing for Caney Valley High School?

WH: One of my favorite memories was the tournament in Nowata I got to play with my team, I had fun the whole day and shot my personal best.

VYPE: What motivates you to be your best?

WH: My teammates push me to be better.

VYPE: Where is your favorite course to play?

WH: Bailey’s in Owasso is my favorite course.

VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?

WH: I don’t have a certain song, but country music usually puts me in the right mindset. 

VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?

WH: A good burger and fries with a cold Dr. Pepper.

VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?

WH: I look at my dad as a role model, especially in golf. He is always pushing me to be better.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?

WH: I would say math because it has always come easier to me than others.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

WH:  My plan is to get straight to work and try and earn my keep.
