VYPE: How long have you been in cheer and what is your position?
Cassie Snead: This is my first year of cheer and I am a flyer.
VYPE: What got you interested in the sport?
CS: I heard a lot of good things about the team environment, and it was something new for
me to try.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time playing for Bartlesville?
CS: One of my favorite memories with the cheer team is when we cheered at regionals
together because it was fun and overall brought the team together.
VYPE: Let’s talk about your teammates. Which player on your team would you not want to
go up against? Who is the strongest? The loudest? Who keeps everyone laughing?
CS: One teammate I wouldn’t want to go against would be Remi because she is one of our
strongest cheerleaders on the team and has been cheering her whole life. The loudest
people on the team would have to be Veronica and Kaylee because they are both really
good at our cheer chants and call cheers very loud. One person that keeps everyone
laughing would be, me personally, or Kenzie. Kenzie always keeps everyone in a good mood
even when it’s early in the morning.
VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?
CS: To get me hyped up before a game I always listen to songs by GloRilla.
VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?
CS: Apples and peanut butter with honey. It’s not too heavy on my stomach but it still fills
me up and is super good.
VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?
CS: Someone I look up to as a role model would be Aubrey because she is so positive 24/7
and always helps me get confident to try new stunts.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?
CS: Science – I work with my teacher’s kids, so I am pretty close with her, and she always
helps me when I need it the most.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
CS: My plans after high school are to attend college and if I keep working hard, I am hoping
to either get a tennis scholarship or a cheer scholarship.
