Head coach Cedric Muteshi enters the 2025 season with several key players and a group that embraces what it takes to be a winning program.
“Very talented and well oriented team in terms of structure and team chemistry. Great group of guys who know what I expect from them and are willing to work hard. They understand the expectation and are excited to have a special season,” said coach Muteshi.
Several seniors dot the lineup for coach Muteshi including Klayton Bastings in goal. Bastings will need to have a big season this year and everyone close to the program believes in his abilities to get it done.
A pair of defenders will help Bastings make it happen. Jacob Robledo and James Wehmeyer are two senior defenders who do a great job of preventing the opponent from getting open shots on goal. Their play will set the tone for the team defensively.
“ ”Midfield forwards Braxton Decker and Lucas Vaclaw are important pieces of the puzzle for coach Muteshi. Their play is crucial for the offense and their ability to see the field and get the ball out will play a large role in the offense.
Guys like Austin Bastings will benefit from their play, but Bastings will look to get more shots on goal and put pressure on the opposing defense. Look for this season to be his best year of his high school career.
