While the teams at Bartlesville High School are young, their desire to grow as wrestlers fuels this team to not only get better, but to find ways to win bouts and make their way to some podiums this season.

Coach Vashus said several wrestlers on the girls team are poised for solid seasons including Shaylee Silver who makes her return to the mat after a successful 2024-25 campaign.

“She finished with a winning record and placed in a number of tournaments. Now entering her senior season, she is determined to build on last season’s success and make a deep push into the post season,” coach Vashus said.

Emily Weathers enters her first season on the mat but is already showing great promise.

“This is Emily’s first season and it’s already catching the team’s attention. Emily works hard, is strong and athletic. She wrestled in her first competition at the Bixby Open where she won a match and was competitive in her other two matches. She’s working hard, excited, and is continuing to work improving and becoming a better wrestler,” coach Vashus said.

Also look for Jordyn Hatter who also enters her first season on the mat and has turned some heads with her quick development. A strong and instinctual wrestler, coach Vashus said Hatter is putting in the extra work to have a great season.

“She participated in the Bixby Open this past weekend and competed well. She is definitely one to watch,” coach Vashus said.
