Bartlesville’s Erin Bridendolph

In her first year of varsity basketball, Bartlesville High School’s Erin Bridendolph is playing multiple positions including point guard, shooting guard and small forward. Bridendolph has played the game since elementary school.

“I started playing basketball in the 3rd grade for Dewey, then played a year for Hominy before starting my basketball career at Bartlesville in the 6th grade,” said Bridendolph.

Also a softball player, Bridendolph has compete in that sport since the sixth grade as well. But the freshman said whether she’s on the basketball court or the softball diamond, she loves being around her teammates and representing their school.

“I enjoy the comradery we have and their fun personalities. I have played competitive softball since I was six years old, I currently am the shortstop for BHS and I play competitive ball for Pryme Fastpitch, Drew Phillips is our coach I play second and shortstop,” said Bridendolph.

As a basketball player, Bridendolph said she continues to work hard to improve her skills and help her team win.

“I feel like the strength in my game is I see the entire floor and am aware of where my teammates are, I am always a team player. I am working on getting in the paint, stopping on two feet and making the right -play,” Bridendolph said. “I have a coach that enhanced my love of the game; his knowledge of the game greatly increased my skill level.”

Bridendolph said BHS is a great school for many reasons.

“BHS has an excellent academic program, and they support their athletes. We are a great school that has made many changes recently geared towards the student athlete including weightlifting for middle school students and summer pride programs.”
