rtlesville High School sophomore Kenzie Denny is a member of the slow-pitch softball team which made it to the state tournament this season. For Denny, being part of the team is something she loves.
“I love that everyone is just themselves and makes everything fun. Playing at BHS is special because I’ve always lived here and it was just a great opportunity to be a part of the athletics here,” said Denny.
An 11-year veteran of softball, Denny said she was impressed with her team and teammates for their desire and ability to push through adversity.
“Allie Scullawl is one of the leaders of the team and my best friend and she just has a great personality and is fun to be around,” said Denny.
Despite not coming away with a state title, Denny said the team had a great season and she is looking forward to next year.
“It’s great, we have a record of 21-12 and we have won some tough games. What I love about being a student-athlete at BHS is that the school is supportive of their athletics,” said Denny.
This summer you can find Denny fishing, being outdoors and hanging out with Allie in between playing softball.
One day Denny hopes to attend college for forensics.
