Bartlesville’s Mom of the Month Stephanie Brandon – Presented by Rib Crib

The Bartlesville Mom of the Month is Stephanie Brandon.

A mother of two, Stephanie has one remaining in school after her oldest son graduated from BHS several years ago.

“Joseph is our oldest is 26. When he attended Bartlesville HS, he played baseball and wrestled. He is now a father of two and works fully time as Marketing Manager of a security company. Hayden is a senior at Bartlesville High School where she is the varsity volleyball setter and competes in Olympic style weightlifting where she is currently ranked third in the nation,” said Stephanie.

Being part of her kid’s activities was something Stephanie enjoyed doing.

“I enjoyed watching them grow into young adults who could have success by themselves in their individual sports, or as part of a working team. It was fulfilling to watch all their hard work pay off. Joseph attended college on a wrestling scholarship and Hayden has committed to MNU on a weightlifting scholarship,” said Stephanie.

As Joseph and Hayden got older, Stephanie said she continued to volunteer, helping their teams in various ways.

“I help work the athlete registration/check-in tables at several of the weightlifting meets Pure Health Performance has hosted here in town. I worked the concession stand for weightlifting, wrestling and volleyball during the seasons. I was the worker coordinator for baseball for a year or two. I have also help with the planning of senior night and end of year banquets for baseball, wrestling and volleyball.”

Bartlesville has been a great place for Stephanie and her family even though Stephanie grew up in Odessa, Texas where she attended Odessa High School before moving to Oklahoma before her senior year of high school.“We moved to Bartlesville the summer before my senior year of high school. My dad worked for Phillips petroleum, so I am a Bartlesville graduate,” Stephanie said. “We enjoy the closeness of the community. The kids have all grown up and known each other for at least six or so years making lasting friendships. Even though our kids have a large age gap the staff of the school still remember the family and all we do.”

In her free time, Stephanie said she enjoys cooking and baking, and spending time with her husband boating, fishing, and being outside.
