Defensive Secondary

Jarek Edwards – 6-5, 175, Sr. Pawhuska Huskies

A shut-down corner and a big play wide receiver, Jarek Edwards has DI size and athleticism, giving the Huskies a two-way starter.

Cayton Wiedbrauk – 5-11, 165, Sr. Caney Valley Trojans

Athletic and physical, Wiedbrauk is a two-way starter who has a nose for the ball and the ability to track the deep ball.

Linebacker

Asiah Saxton – 6-2, 195, Jr. Nowata Ironmen

Asiah is a three-year starter as a junior and a gifted athlete with a work ethic second to no one. He will be a big reason for Nowata’s success this year.

Vann Wildcat – 6-3, 195, Jr. Pawhuska Huskies

Three-year starter, Vann Wildcat accounted for 123 tackles and 10 tackles for loss as a sophomore. Great nose for the ball.

Shooter Brewington – 5-10, 170, Sr. Copan Hornets

As a junior, Shooter Brewington made 121 solo tackles at linebacker and was named the District BII-4 Defensive Player of the Year. Also, a go-to tight end.

Lincoln Gott – 6-5, 215, Sr. Barnsdall Panthers

Lincoln will step into the QB role this season for Barnsdall, but his play at linebacker already stands out. Last season he made 75 tackles with 7 tackles for loss.

Defensive Line

TJ Piearcy – 6-3, 280, Sr. Hominy Bucks

A three-year starter, TJ Piearcy plays a crucial role at nose guard in the odd-stack defense the Bucs will run this season. Size, power and physicality are the best words to describe TJ.

Ian Badjie – 6-2, 245, Sr. Bartlesville Bruins

A perfect fit for the aggressive style of defense, Ian Badjie will compete against double-teams all season. A must for any offense expecting to stop him at the line.
