Q&A with Bartlesville’s Kinzie Doss

VYPE: How long have you played soccer and what is your position?

Kinzie Doss: I have played soccer for about 12 years now. I play all over but I’m currently a center forward.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time playing for Bartlesville?

KD: Unfortunately, I was injured last season, so I never got the chance to play but I loved being able to support my team and be there on the sidelines cheering them on! But I am super excited to make new memories this year!

VYPE: Do you have a particular opponent you look forward to playing?

KD: I don’t really have a favorite high school team to play against but in club I love playing against OKC teams. They are very challenging games to play!

VYPE: Let’s talk about your teammates. Which player on your team would you not want to go up against? Who is the fastest? Who keeps everyone laughing?

KD: I’d have to mention two girls, Presli Cox and Joley Erne. They are the toughest girls to go up against, they make it challenging and fun to practice with. Joley is always making everyone laugh and is super loud when she’s on the field, making everyone know she’s there and serious about it. Presli is super-fast and is always leaving people in the dust, she’s for sure a tough girl to go up against.

VYPE: Do you have a pre-game hype song?

KD: I love to listen to any Rihanna songs and Lemonade by Beyoncé

VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?

KD: I try to stick to an easy sandwich or something light.

VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?

KD: I look to my parents as my role models. They have shown me how to be successful and respectful.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?

KD: My favorite subject probably has to be science.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

KD: My plans after high school are to attend college and play collegiate soccer as well as studying to be a RN.
