Q&A with Nowata’s Asiah Saxton
VYPE: Asiah, what grade are you in this year and what position are you playing for the football team?
Asiah Saxton: I’m a junior this year and I’m playing linebacker and wide receiver and would like to continue and preform on a high level.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
AS: The most vocal teammates is my fellow linebacker Brett Malone he keeps the energy up. Davion Downing keeps people laughing.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates at NHS?
AS: The thing I love most about my team is that I know that they got my back.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
AS: My team and my coaches inspire me because I’m not just playing for myself, I’m playing for my brothers beside me.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities around campus?
AS: I’m in student council and preform in many school activities.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
AS: My favorite subject in school is English and I don’t think I have a favorite teacher.
VYPE: How do you like to spend your free time?
AS: I enjoy playing video games and spending time with my family and friends.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
AS: I would like to play football, weld or become an electrician.
