Wesleyan’s Miranda Hadrava-Athlete Spotlight- Presented by Karley Fewel Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance

Wesleyan High School senior Miranda Hadrava has built her athletic career around versatility, persistence and a desire to make the most of every opportunity.

A varsity volleyball player throughout high school, Hadrava has contributed in both outside and middle positions. Her athletic experience extends beyond the volleyball court as she also competes in basketball and soccer, giving her the chance to develop as an athlete in a variety of roles. One of Hadrava’s most memorable moments came early in her high school career.

“My greatest accomplishment was making it to the state tournament my freshman year while playing all-around,” Hadrava said. “It was a huge achievement for me and a memorable accomplishment for our school.”

That experience helped shape the approach Hadrava brings to athletics. Through competition, she has learned to handle adversity, work alongside teammates and continue improving after mistakes.

“Sports have made me a better person by teaching me discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and how to keep going even when things get difficult,” Hadrava said. “They have taught me that success doesn’t happen overnight and that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow.”

Faith is also central to Hadrava’s outlook. She sees her abilities as gifts and wants to use them with purpose, both in competition and in life.

“Most importantly, sports have strengthened my faith and taught me to trust God through both the wins and the losses,” Hadrava said. “I’ve learned that God has a purpose for me, and I want to use the abilities He has given me to work hard, encourage others, and glorify Him.”

Hadrava credited coach Mariah Cooks, Cooks’ mother and her club coach, Blain of Bartlesville High School, for their support and influence. She said their encouragement has helped her grow spiritually and athletically while preparing for the future beyond graduation.
