ADAIR LADY WARRIORS
Coach: ADAM KLUCEVSEK
2024-25 Record: 23-3
OUTLOOK
When head coach Adam Klucevsek takes the court this season, it will be his fifth year at AHS and it may be one of, if not the best team has had while guiding the program. The optimism is not misplaced. Several starters are back, and the team is coming off a 23-win season.
“We have high expectations! We have two returning starters in Kealey Sanders and Ali Schwerdtfeger. Also, we expect big things out of Hannah Bond, Reagan Langley, Finley Grubbs,” coach Klucevsek said.
Ali Schwerdtfeger (5-8, Sr.) starts at guard and is the type of player who can excel at all aspects of the game. From defending to scoring and handling the ball, Schwerdtfeger is everything you want in a guard and with a height advantage over most opponents at guard, she is tough to stop off the dribble. Schwerdtfeger is an intelligent player and a leader.
Also look for Hannah Bond (6-1, Sr.) at forward. Bond is comfortable in the post where she can battle for rebounds and score inside. The combo of Schwerdtfeger and Bond is a tough duo to contain. Add Kealey Sanders (5-5, Jr.) at guard and Finley Grubbs (5-5, Sr.) at guard and you have the recipe for a team that can run you up and down the court or match you shot for shot in a shootout.
Not to be overlooked is Reagan Langley (5-10, So.) who will see time at guard and use her height to create problems for opposing teams. Langley logged some varsity minutes as a freshman and is expected to continue contributing as a sophomore. With the extra work she put in over the summer, this could be a breakout season for Langley.
