ADAIR WARRIORS

Coach: BRADY BRADBURY

11-1

OFFENSE

The cupboards are full for head coach Brady Bradbury and his staff. “We return all of our skill players and gain our best player back from injury. Look for a fast and physical season,” said coach Bradbury. The coaching staff consists of Earnie Ragland, Josh Forrest, Eric McSlarrow, Barrett Bradbury, Taylor Schwerdtfeger, Blane Burns, and Carson Klucevsek. Seven starters make their return to the offense including quarterback Cooper McCord (5-9, 200, Sr.). A two-way player, McCord has multiple offers to continue his career at the next level and is a VYPE Top 100 selectee. Two of his main targets are Ryan Wilson (5-9, 160, Sr.) and Cole Moody (6-1, 170, Sr.) at wide receiver. Both players will stretch the field in the spread, hurry-up offense. Balancing out the offense is running back Quinton Payne (5-9, 200, Jr.). Payne is a physical runner who gives the Warriors a legit threat at RB. Tight end Zack Wilson (6-1, 210, Fr.) is a newcomer who adds another element to the offense in the passing game and the run game as a blocker. Zane Nichols (6-0, 230, Sr.) starts at guard giving the Warriors someone who can move the line of scrimmage. Look for Nichols to help a few younger linemen mature into roles as starters.

DEFENSE

Brody Longhorn (6-2, 220, Sr.) is one of six starters making their way back to the lineup this season. Longhorn is quick off the ball and will cause problems for opposing QBs. Kale Rampey (5-10, 185, So.) is a talented athlete who played a lot as a freshman. Fast and physical is how Rampey plays and its exactly what coach Bradbury wants from his defense. Rampey will start at outside linebacker with Britton Kerr (6-3, 185, Jr.) playing opposite Longhorn at defensive end. Also look for Keeton Spruell (6-1, 260, Sr.) at defensive tackle. Spruell is tough to stop in the trenches and will spend most of his night playing on the other side of the line. The secondary features Ethan McCord (5-8, 150, Jr.) and Kyler Green (6-6, 185, So.). Both players are quality players that make the secondary one of the strengths for the Warriors. Green also plays QB on offense and is the future of the program at that position. Also look for Cooper McCord to play linebacker on defense.
