Pryor heads into 2026 coming off an 11-1 season and an impressive run that has raised expectations under seventh-year head coach Kenny Davis. He says, “We are excited to see how this group comes together,” noting that they “graduated a great group of seniors who had played a ton of snaps, but really like the guys we have coming back.” Davis adds that he is “excited to see how far this group can take us,” reflecting both respect for what was lost and confidence in the returning core.
Offensively, Pryor will again feature an up-tempo passing attack built on depth and explosiveness at the skill spots. Davis describes the unit as “an up-tempo spread offense” that will feature “multiple personnel groups, formations, and motions,” designed to stress defenses before and after the snap. Receiver Cooper Hooker (5-10, 170, Sr.) is one of the state’s most productive playmakers after catching 50 passes for 845 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 115 rushing yards and two scores on 17 carries, and he is already committed to Oklahoma State. Fellow receiver Jackson Parks (6-2, 215, Sr.) hauled in 30 receptions for 809 yards and 10 scores, averaging an eye-popping 32 yards per catch, and receiver Tyler Belew (5-10, 165, Jr.) added 40 catches for 657 yards and 11 touchdowns, giving Pryor three proven weapons on the perimeter. Running back Issac Torres (5-10, 180, Jr.) brings balance after rushing 233 times for 1,231 yards, and quarterback Maddox Young (6-1, 175, Jr.) will step in behind a line anchored by guard Mason McAlvain (6-3, 330, Sr.). With five offensive starters returning, the Tigers have the tools to keep the tempo high and the scoreboard busy.
Defensively, Pryor operates out of a 3-4 front and, as Davis puts it, is “a 3-4 Defense that will play multiple fronts and coverages,” allowing the Tigers to adapt to different opponents and confuse quarterbacks. McAlvain doubles as a force at nose, where he logged 48 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks, while senior defensive ends Konway Williamson (6-2, 275) and Korban Livesay (6-2, 245) give the Tigers size and strength on the edges, with Livesay adding 16 tackles and a sack. Linebacker Kane Douglas (6-0, 205, Sr.) leads the second level after posting 80 tackles and nine tackles for loss, and cornerback Khalil Spurrier (6-0, 185, Jr.) and senior corner Treyce Crawford (5-9, 160) bring experience in coverage, with Spurrier contributing 18 tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception. With four defensive starters returning and a scheme built on multiplicity, Pryor expects this unit to complement its high-powered offense by generating pressure, limiting big plays and getting the ball back for its explosive skill group.
