CHOUTEAU-MAZIE WILDCATS

BOYS

Coach: Travis Brannon

23-24 Record: 5-20

OUTLOOK

It’s a fun time to be a Wildcat as head coach Travis Brannon is looking forward to putting this team on the court and letting them compete. The roster has a different look, and the players are ready to compete.

“This season looks promising for the Wildcats. With several returning players and a few kids transferring in, the Wildcats look to have a very well-rounded team. The team has high hopes in our conference and believe they can make a statement in the post-season,” said Brannon.

Lucas Grossman (6-3, Jr.) will start at shooting guard where he averaged 10 points and 5.0 rebounds a game last season. Grossman is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and has worked hard in the offseason to elevate his game. Post player Trey Miller (Sr.) averaged 5.0 points and 5.0 rebounds last year and is expected to see more production this season.

“Trey has put in countless hours this offseason training in the gym and weight room. This season could be a breakout year for him. Trey has grown to a height of 6-foot-3 and has put on an additional 20-pounds since last season. I believe his season could be limitless if he decides to show his true potential on the court,” said Brannon.

Haydn Gable (5-10, So.) is a point guard who transferred in from Broken Arrow. Gable is one of several players looking to crack the starting lineup. Also look for Tyler Detweiler (Sr.) at shooting guard, Landon Miller (Jr.) at guard, and Bradon Miller (Jr.) at guard.

Other players to watch include Kyler Hill (Sr.), Brody Garcie (Jr.), Kyler Lynch (Jr.), Kayden Atkins (Fr.), Carson Channon (Fr.), Colby Owens (So.), Jakobi Dixon (Fr.), Kale Dixon (Fr.), Ethan Davis (Fr.), Mason Yoder (Fr.), Robert Taylor (So.), Traceston Asbill (Fr.), Corey O’Brien (Fr.), and Dayton Tolleson (Fr.).
