INOLA LONGHORNS

BOYS

Coach: Clyde Barkley

23-24 Record: 23-5

OUTLOOK

After a strong showing last season, the Longhorns of Inola are back and ready to take on another tough schedule. Head coach Clyde Barkley enters his 48th season in coaching, and his 46th as head coach.

“We lost four seniors from last year and return two starters. We have 6-7 guys who got good court time last year,” Barkley said. “We have a good nucleus back and we expect guys to step into and perform. We have a tough schedule that includes our tournament, the Fort Gibson tournament and Locust Grove tournament. Many of our opponents have good teams so we will be tested every night.”

Aiden Clark Inola High School

Aiden Clark (6-6, Jr.) is a combo guard and a VYPE Top 100 selectee. Clark can play all five positions and is one of the top players in the region. Clark will lead the Longhorns this season with the help of fellow junior Caden Thompson (6-1, Jr.). Thompson is another multi-purpose player Inola will need this season.

Brock Flanagan (6-3, Sr.) will likely start at small forward giving the Longhorns someone who can shoot from the outside and penetrate from the perimeter. Travis West (Jr.) will play point guard while Bryce Spurlock (Sr.) will play forward.

Underclassman Charlie Castleman (So.) is an exciting young player who brings energy to the floor. Also look for Caleb Helling (Jr.) to step up and see playing time this season.

Overall, the team has several pieces of the puzzle to have an excellent season. Look for coach Barkley to have this team hitting on all cylinders when it counts the most.
