Stone Taylor – Jay High School

VYPE: Stone, what grade are you in and what position do you play?

Stone Taylor: I am a sophomore shooting guard.

VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Jay HS?

ST: I think what I love most are the people I’m surrounded with and competing against people.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

ST: What I love about my teammates is really how close we are with each other they really know how to lift you up when you’re not preforming well or just having a bad day.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

ST: If I had to pick a subject it would probably be my English class just because it’s the easiest. My favorite teacher has got to be Mrs. Earp she’s the best.

VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?

ST: I think Bradee Rutherford me and him really like to compete and make each other better.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

ST: I’m not really sure yet I’ve thought about becoming a coach or going to the military. 

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

ST: I love going down to the gym and playing ball with my friends and just hanging out. 

VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and what is the toughest gym to play in on the road?

ST: Favorite place is definitely home no place like it, but hardest gym is definitely going to have to be Oologah. 

VYPE: What part of your game has most improved this season?

ST: I think my confidence with the ball last year I don’t feel like I made a big enough impact on the floor and this year I’ve been trying to change that. 

VYPE: Who is the greatest basketball player of all-time?

ST: Greatest basketball player of all time is 100 percent, Steph Curry.
