VYPE: Tell me about your sport and what you enjoy most about the position you play?
Molly Hubbard: Soccer, I play center back. My favorite part about my position is keeping the opposing team from scoring and protecting our goalkeeper.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
MH: That working hard and applying yourself pays off!
VYPE:Why are you passionate about your sport?
MH: I am passionate about soccer because I enjoy the intensity of both a game and practice. I also enjoy bettering my abilities to help make my team more successful.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
MH: My favorite teacher from high school is undeniably my Algebra I, Geometry, and Calculus teacher Mr. Mayes. He has supported me not only in math class but on the soccer field as well!
“ ”VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
MH: My sister, Lizzie, because she has pushed me to be the best I can be since the beginning.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
MH: I started playing soccer when I was very young. My initial interest in the sport was sparked by my dad sharing his soccer experiences. My dad has always encouraged me to be the best I can be at everything I do and supported me through it all.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
MH: Inspiring future athletes by illustrating the value of hard work and dedication.
VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?
MH: Be the hardest worker and the most driven. Whether it is in athletics, academics, or personal development!
VYPE: What are your plans after graduating from high school?
MH: I would like to pursue a degree in early childhood education.
