Q&A with Pryor’s Rainey White – Volleyball Spotlight – Presented by Red Crown Credit Union of Pryor

VYPE: Rainey, when did you start playing volleyball and when did you know this was the sport for you? 

Rainey White: I started playing volleyball at the age of seven and I knew it was the sport for me because I knew then that was what I wanted to do. 

VYPE: What are some of the positives you see from the team this season? 

RW: Some positives from my team are definitely energy and us just having fun in what we do. 

VYPE: Are you involved with any other sports? 

RW: I play basketball as well, but volleyball is my main sport. 

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates at PHS?

RW: The thing I love about my teammates is they never give up on me. 

VYPE: Where does your work ethic come from? 

RW: My work ethic definitely comes from my mom pushing me to be the person I am today. 

VYPE: What makes being a student-athlete at PHS great? 

RW: The teachers at Pryor are very understanding and it makes it much easier for me to learn and push myself to be better. 

VYPE: Who has made a big impact in your life? 

RW: My mom has definitely made an impact on me on and off the court. 

VYPE: How do you like to spend your downtime? 

RW: When I have downtime, I love spending it with my friends and playing beach volleyball. 

VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school? 

RW: My plan after high school is to go play college volleyball and then graduate from college, then go to beauty school and from then on open my own salon!
