
Fairland’s Addilyn Lollar
VYPE: What is your favorite part about softball and what position do you play?
Addilyn Lollar: I play utility. My favorite part is learning and growing in the sport and getting to play sports with friends that I’ve had since elementary school.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport and what has it taught you?
AL: I love the camaraderie of team sports and the thrill of competition. It has taught me hard work, effort and consistency.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
AL: My brothers. Watching them play and love the game of baseball taught me so much and gave me a love for my game.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
AL: Jaylee Campbell, because she is a great leader and always gives her all on the field.
VYPE: When and how did you first start playing softball and what has been the most memorable part about playing?
AL: This is my first year of slow pitch and I’m fortunate my school has this sport. Getting some starting time as a freshman is both rewarding and memorable.
VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?
AL: It is from my dad. Play with confidence and have fun.
VYPE: What are your plans for after high school?
AL: I am hoping to play softball at the next level. I haven’t decided on a career path just yet.
VYPE: What is the most memorable vacation you have taken and why?
AL: When I was nine, we traveled through 13 states and saw so many amazing places.
