VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?

AK: It has taught me how to have a good attitude and to give my best on and off the court, show up on time, and treat teammates and coaches with respect. 

VYPE: Tell me about the position you play and what about that position you enjoy the most?

AK: My position is post and I like it because I like battling in the paint. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

AK: My favorite part of being on a team is that we have fun together and challenge each other to be the best we can be.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

AK: I am passionate about basketball because I enjoy working towards a common goal with my team and seeing our hard work pay off. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

AK: My biggest inspiration is my mom because she is a hard worker and has taught me so much.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

AK: I couldn’t just pick one teammate individually because all my teammates have impacted me in different ways.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

AK: I would like to thank coach Goodwin for always pushing me to be better and being a good role model.

VYPE: What is your favorite memory and/or accomplishment of playing basketball?

AK: Making it to the tournament championship of our tournament this year.

VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?

AK: “Play your game,” is the best advice someone has given me.
