VYPE: How long have you competed in track, and what first got you interested in the sport?
Dori Custer: Three years. My dad ran track in high school.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time competing for Wyandotte High School?
DC: My favorite memory was going to state with my friends.
VYPE: What motivates you to be your best?
DC: I am motivated by the desire to get better every time I race. I strive to improve every time I touch the track.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite opponent to compete against? If so, why?
DC: I do not have a favorite opponent to compete against, but my teammate, Lizzie Lundien, is my favorite because she pushes me every day.
VYPE: What do your teammates mean to you?
DC: My teammates mean a lot to me. They are all so supportive, encouraging, and they help calm my nerves.
VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?
DC: Songs from the movie Pitch Perfect.
VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?
DC: A cheeseburger and fries.
VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?
DC: I look to my entire family because they are all hardworking, kind, and loving.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
DC: I plan to attend college and enter the medical field.
