Ketchum’s Adam Banker – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by BancFirst Ketchum

Ketchum’s Adam Banker

In only his sophomore season, Ketchum High School’s Adam Banker is making an impact on the court while continuing to prepare himself for the long season.

“I would say my strength on our team would be three-point and free throw shooting but I have gotten better and want to improve my game off the drive,” said Banker.

The sophomore started playing basketball at the young age of four or five, but since then he’s enjoyed some great times with his teammates.

“One of my favorite memories playing high school basketball was probably beating Kellyville in double overtime, it really felt like we came together good as a team,” said Banker.

Being a member of the varsity team means being there for your teammates. Banker said his teammates have been a source of inspiration.

“The thing I love most about my teammates is the way we can come together and really be a family,” Banker said. “I have been impressed with teammate Landon Beisley, he’s a one-of-a-kind player, he is such a spark for our team, and he plays his role so well. A past player that left an impression on me was Cody Brown. He was a great player and a great shooter, and I had a great time playing with him for a year.”

Playing at KHS and being around his teammates is what it’s all about for Banker.

“KHS is a great place for me because our sports teams really come together as family, and it’s taken very seriously,” Banker said. “A teammate that keeps everyone laughing is Logan Beisley he’s a very funny guy and has a skill to make people laugh, but Gabe Callison is one that is always serious.”
