Ketchum’s Alexis Currie
When the Ketchum Lady Warriors take the court this season, Alexis Currie will tip off her junior season at shooting guard. Representing Ketchum High School is something Currie is proud to do and when she steps onto the court, it’s all business.
Coming into the season the Lady Warriors have worked hard to ensure they are prepared and ready for the long, tough schedule. Currie said she loves how her teammates are preparing this season.
“What I love most about my team is the hard work that they put in,” said Currie.
“ ”Road games in an unfriendly environment can be difficult, but Currie said she enjoys playing at home and going on the road, but one of the toughest places to play in Eastern Oklahoma is always fun.
“The place I like to play is at home, and the toughest place was Locust Grove,” said Currie.
Currie said her teammates are fun to be around, especially those who keep things loose.
“The teammate that keeps everyone laughing would be Kiera, and the most serious is probably me,” said Currie.
When she has some free time, you can probably find Currie practicing her jumper and shooting free throws. Her plans for the future involved attending college and playing more basketball. Currie said the biggest influence in her life has been her aunt and she is grateful for everyone who has helped her become the player and person she is today.
