Pryor’s Braycee Trundle
Braycee Trundle always enjoyed running. In the third grade, her school held a field day, during which she discovered her sport.
“The whole school did track events. I always loved running, so it was perfect for me,” she says.
Trundle is now a freshman at Pryor High School. She is a multi-sport athlete competing in soccer, cross country and track running events.
“I love the excitement of it. I have competed in the 4×100, 4×200, 200, 400, 4×800, 4×400, 800 and the mile,” said Trundle.
Running in track has taught the freshman to never give up on her goals. Fellow teammates are always a source of encouragement. One teammate leaving a big impression on her is Caiti White who is helped Trundle achieve her goals. The family-like bonds of a team are what Trundle enjoys most. Being on a team feels like being a part of one big family, fueling her passion for the sport she has always loved. Along with friendships, running builds confidence.
Representing PHS as an athlete has provided Trundle with many opportunities. Making it to state in cross country as a freshman is just one opportunity she will always enjoy looking back on. She experienced the thrill of competition and enjoyed spending an entire weekend just being with her teammates.
Trundle’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Niblack from seventh grade. Mrs. Niblack was always there when she needed help from school. Trundle found inspiration in a Pryor coach who taught her to believe in herself. She is thankful to the many people who have stepped up and influenced her. Special thanks go to her mom, family, teammates and coaches.
After high school, she hopes to get an athletic scholarship and study interior design.
