Q&A with Welch’s Nicole Feltynowski
VYPE: What is your favorite part about softball and what position do you play?
Nicole Feltynowski: I play center/rover and my favorite part about softball is there is always something to laugh about.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
NF: I first started playing softball this year. I’ve always played basketball, but a lot of people convinced me to play softball my last year.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
NF: I’m passionate because I like playing sports and knowing that I am doing something useful for my team.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
NF: The teammate who left the biggest impression on me would be Camy. We’ve played sports together for over 10 years and we are always laughing.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
NF: My ‘grandpaw’ inspires me the most because he is the most hardworking person I know and is a good person.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
NF: My favorite teacher was Mr. Chenoweth. I had him in sixth grade through sophomore year. He helped me build up my dream for my life when I get out of high school.
VYPE: What are your plans for after high school?
NF: I am going to work for Nabholz as a heavy equipment operator to achieve my dream of building my own house.
VYPE: What is the most memorable vacation you have taken and why?
NF: My most memorable vacation I’ve taken was in 2019 when I went back to New Jersey where I was born. I got to see family that I didn’t see a lot growing up.
