Kane Foreman

Copan High School

The starting quarterback for Copan High School, Kane Foreman is poised for a big year after putting up excellent numbers as a sophomore.

Last season Foreman threw for 1,770 yards with 28 touchdowns to only four INTs. He also rushed for two touchdowns and has shown he has the talent and drive to lead the Hornets to post season play.

Copan head coach Marshall Foreman said Kane is, “Kane is a natural leader, and you can see that on the field. Smart QB that is accurate and limits turnovers.” That type of play will give Copan a chance in every contest they play.

For Foreman, football has been a lifelong passion.

“I started playing in first grade. I knew I loved the sport as soon as I started playing,” said Foreman. “I like playing quarterback because I see everything on the field and get to help my teammates get to where they need to be and obviously as a quarterback, I like to throw deep balls.”

In early practices, Foreman said he has seen a lot of positives from the team including aggressive play from the defense. Foreman said the team is close and they have one goal for this season.

“Going undefeated and winning state,” said Foreman. “We all have a brotherly bond on this team.”

Foreman is a member of the varsity basketball team at Copan, but his goal is to play football at the next level.

“I want to go play four years at a good football college,” said Foreman.

Only in his junior season, Foreman said his father and coach has been a big reason for his success on the field.

“My dad he has always pushed me to do the little things, when I feel like not doing anything he’s there motivating me and helping me get better every day,” said Foreman.
