VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time playing for Dewey?
ME: Over the years, I have created countless memories through this sport. While it’s hard to pick just one, my favorite moments are the friendships I have built with my teammates on and off the court. They are my best friends and some of the funniest and most caring people I know.
VYPE: Let’s talk about your teammates. Which player on your team would you not want to go up against? Who is the fastest? The loudest? Who keeps everyone laughing?
ME: CJ Jones is an incredible defender, and I know she would block every shot I attempt. Chanley Herren always has a hilarious story to share, keeping the team in great spirits. Mylee Garrison and Kaci Swan are also invaluable teammates who constantly cheer me on and motivate me to be my best.
“ ”VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?
ME: Before games I often feel nervous, so I listen to country music to calm myself and pray to get into the right mindset.
VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?
ME: After games, my go-to meal is a classic cheeseburger and fries—it’s simple but it is the best.
VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?
ME: My role models are undoubtedly my parents, who push me to improve and grow every day.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?
ME: Agricultural mechanics – not only is it an engaging class, but my dad is also the teacher, which makes it even more enjoyable.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
ME: After high school, I plan to attend Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa before transferring to Oklahoma State University. OSU holds a special place in my family’s history, as both my parents and my sister are alumni. Continuing that legacy is a goal I’m proud to pursue.
