Bartlesville’s Lily Weimer
Playing in her final season as a Lady Bruin, Lily Weimer started playing the game of soccer at the age of six. Entering the new season, Weimer said she is excited to take the field with her teammates and make the most of her final season.
“I am looking forward to playing with my girls and enjoying my last year,” Weimer said. “What I love most about my teammates is their personalities and good spirits. All of those girls have amazing and kind hearts.”
Weimer is the type of athlete who consistently works to improve her game. Coming into the season, Weimer will bring more confidence and stability to the team.
“I am really good at pinpointing where someone is going to shoot and where it will go. I have improved a lot on where to pass the ball if I have pressure on me and keeping calm if I get the ball,” said Weimer.
Knowing her teammates and what makes them a team is something Weimer takes seriously.
“A teammate that has impressed me this season so far is Maci Alleman. She is a freshman and since the beginning of this season she has been starting varsity as a center defender. Maci has impressed me in so many ways but the main way, besides her skill, is her confidence. It takes a lot of guts to get out there as a freshman and play varsity teams,” Weimer said. “I think the teammate that keeps everyone laughing is Ashlei Cough and the most serious is Kinzie Doss, but don’t get me wrong, we all have our laughing moments.”
As for life after high school, Weimer plans to expand her horizons and see the world.
“My goal for life after high school is to explore the world. I want to travel and experience all of the different cultures,” said Weimer.
