Grove’s Trevor Praytor
Trevor Praytor’s dad is a very good golfer. The time spent on the course with his dad triggered Trevor’s passion for golf. Today, waking up early on the weekends to enjoy time outside with friends is what Trevor enjoys most about his sport.
Trevor is now a junior, but it was when he joined the Grove High School golf team as a freshman that he became more serious about the game. He enjoys being recognized as a golfer while representing a high school known for producing amazing athletes.
“Golf has taught me to always keep going. Even if you hit one bad shot, it doesn’t mean that the round is over. Likewise, if something bad happens in my life, I should just keep going and continue pushing,” he said.
Group support is his favorite part of being on a team.
“Whether I’m playing good or bad I always have a team behind me and supporting me to always do my best. Tyler Case from the class of 2025 left the biggest impression on me because he stuck with me even when I was not playing well. He encouraged me to always do my best,” says Trevor.
Memories are made on the golf course but one moment stands out above the rest.
“My favorite memory in golf was getting to go to the state championships with some of my best friends my freshman year.”
Trevor is thankful for the advice and support from his family and friends.
“My dad told me to always keep going and continue on in golf even when it gets hard and I feel like I can’t do it,” he says. “I would like to thank my parents for investing their time and money into me. I also want to thank graduates Tyler Case and Zane Malone for always believing in me and telling me to stick with it.”After high school, Trevor plans to attend college and get a degree in business or accounting. He wants to become a real estate broker or a personal financial advisor.
