Q&A with Fairland’s Caine Bowers
VYPE: What year are you and do you play any sports other than football?
Caine Bowers: 2026, track and baseball.
VYPE: What position(s) do you play?
CB: Running back, linebacker.
VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
CB: Win a state championship or go very deep into the playoffs.
VYPE: What’s special about the game of football, and why do you believe you gravitated towards football?
CB: It’s the greatest sport there is, and I enjoy being able to play with all my friends I grew up with. I grew up watching football with my dad and grandpa every weekend and started playing at a young age.
VYPE: Does your family have a history of playing football? If so, explain.
CB: Yes, my dad played and graduated from Fairland and then went on to play receiver at the University of Central Oklahoma.
VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish within the game of football?
CB: Stay healthy and win a state title.
VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish in life?
CB: Be successful and buy a lot of land so I can continue to do the things I love like hunt and fish.
VYPE: What is the greatest challenge you’ve faced as an athlete, and how did you overcome it?
CB: As a sophomore I separated my shoulder in the third game of the season. I did a lot of physical therapy and dedicated myself to the weight room to prevent further injuries.
VYPE: How do you hope your teammates and coaches remember you?
CB: As someone who works hard, doesn’t miss workouts or practice, and leads by example.
