OUTLOOK
As coach Tug Brinker looks ahead to the 2025-26 season, finding players to go with his two returning starters seems to be the top priority.
“Bring back two starters in Zac Longan and Speck Gann. Should be improved from last year. Logan Thompson 6-foot-5 and gives us some size. Levi Robles, Speck Gann and CJ Breese give us experience. Longan and fellow sophomore Preston Gipson will be asked to do the bulk of ball handling and will both need to score for us to be successful. Will have more size at starting positions as well as on the bench. Will need to rebound the ball better and improve our shooting from outside. Hoping to play 8 or 9 deep. Good group of freshmen coming up that will help us,” coach Brinker said.
Zac Longan (5-10, So.) averaged 9.0 points last season while Speck Gann (6-1, Jr.) averaged 9.0 points as well. Longan will play guard while Gann will play forward. Logan Thompson (6-5, Jr.) is the size coach Brinker needs in the paint. Thompson went for 6.0 points a game as a sophomore.
Also look for Preston Gipson (5-5, So.) and CJ Breeze (5-9, Sr.) at guard. Levi Robles is another player looking to help this team win. Robles does whatever he’s asked for the team and is a crucial part of the program for coach Brinker.
