VYPE: What goals did you have for this baseball season?
KR: Make a run at state and go ball out with all my best friends.
VYPE: What has baseball taught you that you use in your daily life?
KR: Baseball is a game of failure; you choose how you respond.
VYPE: What’s your favorite part of being involved in baseball?
KR: Being able to play the game I love with my brother, friends, and some of the best coaches in the state. It makes it really easy to be myself and go out and have fun.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
KR: Me personally, my inspiration is myself. I have only so long I can play this game that I love. So, for me, I’m going to go all out and be the best player I can be.
“ ”VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in baseball?
KR: Being able to face adversity when times get rough. All you got to do is play pitch by pitch.
VYPE: What do you think makes a great baseball player?
KR: Someone who leads by example and someone who always plays for the team.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
KR: Best athlete in the family is me by a long shot. My dad played college baseball and my brother is a stud as well. They just don’t quite compare to me.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
KR: Tennis would be a fun sport that I would enjoy playing. I love 1 on 1 competitions and that for me is a sport I would like.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
KR: I love me some “Brain Stew” by Green Day.
