Varsity football player and powerlifter Fenix Bolding, paused his busy day to answer a few questions about playing on the gridiron, who inspires him and to say thanks to a few important people in his life.
VYPE: What sports and positions do you play?
Fenix Bolding: I play football as a linebacker and running back, and I also compete in powerlifting.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
FB: I am most proud of leading my district in tackles.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
FB: My sport has taught me not to give up.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
FB: Coby Prather, because he’s a great guy to talk to and he’s there when you need him.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
FB: My dad inspires me because of all the things he’s done.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
FB: Nate Sloan because he helped me when I needed it, both on and off the field.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
FB: My favorite part is being able to show people what it’s like to be a Bulldogger.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
FB: Not to give up and to keep pushing.
