OUTLOOK

When the Lady Tigers take the court this season, they will have three seniors leading a talented group of players that hustle and love to compete. Head coach Brooke Jackson said they look to build on the success of last season.

“The Lady Tigers will look to build off recent seasons. They will continue to be small in stature but make up for that through heart and hustle. They will be led by seniors Lacy Brough, Yadira Herrera, and Kennedy Dalrymple, who have all played a lot of varsity minutes in their high school careers,” said Jackson.

They bring back all five starters and 100 percent of their scoring from a year ago. Lacy Brough (5-4, Sr.) averaged 20 points, 4.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds a game from her point guard spot. Brough is joined in the backcourt by Yadira Herrera (5-7, Sr.) at shooting guard. Herrera averaged 14 points and 6.0 rebounds a contest as a junior. Both players are key to the overall success of the Lady Tigers.

Guard Kennedy Dalrymple (5-0, Sr.) rounds out the upperclassmen and averaged 6.0 points last year. Dalrymple does all the little things right to help this team find success. Junior Irish McCleary (5-5) and sophomore Mia Williams (5-2) both accounted for 3.0 points a game last year. Williams is known for her tough defense and will challenge anyone with the ball.

Look for Haven Ragsdale (5-7, Jr.) at small forward to be a factor this season as well. Size is a challenge for the Lady Tigers, as coach Jackson said, but players like Ragsdale and Rita Perry (5-7, Jr.) will look to compete in the paint for rebounds.

Other players to watch include Breanna Munoz (5-5, So.), Lexi Stovall (5-4, So.), Brianna Powers (5-6, Jr.), Cydney Daylight (5-4, Jr.), Payton Hanson (5-7, Fr.), Esmerelda Morales (5-4, Jr.), and Ashley Herrera (5-3, So.).
