Commerce Track – Yadira Herrera

VYPE: What events do you participate in at your meets?

Yadira “Yadi” Herrera: The events I participate in are long jump, high jump, 4×100, and the 300-meter hurdles.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher? 

YH: My favorite subject in school has to be English. My favorite teacher is Mr. Pratt.

VYPE: What do you do with the down time during meets?

YH: When I have a little bit of down time at track meets, I most likely do funny TikTok trends with my friends or start eating a bunch of snacks!

VYPE: What event would you like to try one day?

YH: The event I would like to try would be pole vault.

VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you? 

YH: The teammate that impresses me the most would be my amazing friend, Lacy Brough. She is always the one that will let me know to keep my head up no matter what and will always be cheering me on.

VYPE: Who on the team keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious and who has the best impression of your coach?

YH: The teammate that has everyone laughing would honestly be ME! [Jk] if I had to pick it would be Karen Gutierrez or Lacy Brough. The most serious would be Irish McCleary. The best impression of our coach would be Ryleigh Luttrell.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate? 

YH: After graduation I would like to do my basics at NEO and while working at 7brew.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time outside of school and sports?

YH: What I enjoy the most outside of school and sports would be hanging out with my miniature dachshund named Brew or going to get amazing drinks at 7brew.
